Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2013 Phillips in New York held the auction Important Photographs from the Collection of Dr. Anthony Terrana, which included the work Selected Images by Tom Baril. The price achieved of USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,018.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tom Baril - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portfolio of 8, 1993-2001, which sold at auction in February 2008 for USD 27,400.00 (€ 18,041.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2013 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Important Photographs from the Collection of Dr. Anthony Terrana durch, in der auch die Arbeit Selected Images von Tom Baril zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 9.018,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Tom Baril mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portfolio of 8, 1993-2001 beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für USD 27.400,00 (€ 18.041,75) versteigert wurde.
