Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Bonhams in New York held the auction The Gift of Photographs, which included the work Manhattan (Portfolio) by Tom Baril. The price achieved of USD 3,072.00 (€ 2,777.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Tom Baril have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portfolio of 8, 1993-2001 in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 27,400.00 (€ 18,041.75).
