Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Roses 2 by Tom Baril was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in February 2019. The price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,098.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Baril achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portfolio of 8, 1993-2001 in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 27,400.00 (€ 18,041.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Roses 2 von Tom Baril kam im Februar 2019 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.098,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom Baril erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portfolio of 8, 1993-2001 im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.400,00 (€ 18.041,75).
