Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April last year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work The Trustee and the Curator by Tina Barney. Here, the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 10,080.00 (€ 9,566.29). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tina Barney - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jill and Polly in the Bathroom, which sold at auction in October this year for USD 31,750.00 (€ 30,043.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Trustee and the Curator von Tina Barney zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 10.080,00 (€ 9.566,29) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Tina Barney mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jill and Polly in the Bathroom beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für USD 31.750,00 (€ 30.043,53) versteigert wurde.
