This work of art by Tina Barney could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Photographs auction, the work The Orange Room (from The Europeans) changed hands for USD 4,410.00 (€ 3,817.52) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tina Barney have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jill and Polly in the Bathroom in October this year with an auction result of USD 31,750.00 (€ 30,043.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tina Barney konnte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Photographs wechselte die Arbeit The Orange Room (from The Europeans) für USD 4.410,00 (€ 3.817,52) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tina Barney auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jill and Polly in the Bathroom im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.750,00 (€ 30.043,53).
