Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2006 Christies in Melbourne held the auction Australian, International & Contemporary Paintings Part II, which included this untitled work by Tim Maguire. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 3,346.00 (€ 2,012.53). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tim Maguire achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled 1997 in November 2003 with an auction result of AUD 329,000.00 (€ 198,469.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2006 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion Australian, International & Contemporary Paintings Part II durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tim Maguire zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 3.346,00 (€ 2.012,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tim Maguire erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled 1997 im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 329.000,00 (€ 198.469,70).
