Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled 20030801 by Tim Maguire for AUD 144,000.00 (€ 87,123.33). This price was achieved in the auction Important Paintings at Sothebys in Sydney and was even below the estimate range of AUD 145,000.00 – 165,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tim Maguire - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled 1997, which sold at auction in November 2003 for AUD 329,000.00 (€ 198,469.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled 20030801 von Tim Maguire für AUD 144.000,00 (€ 87.123,33) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Paintings bei Sothebys in Sydney erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 145.000,00 – 165.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tim Maguire mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled 1997 beobachtet, die im November 2003 für AUD 329.000,00 (€ 198.469,70) versteigert wurde.
