Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (99D58) by Tim Maguire was sold in the Important Paintings auction at Sothebys in Sydney in April 2008. The price achieved of AUD 60,000.00 (€ 36,301.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tim Maguire have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled 1997 in November 2003 with an auction result of AUD 329,000.00 (€ 198,469.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (99D58) von Tim Maguire wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion Important Paintings bei Sothebys in Sydney versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 60.000,00 (€ 36.301,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tim Maguire auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled 1997 im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 329.000,00 (€ 198.469,70).
