Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2007 Sothebys in Sydney held the auction Important Australian Art Including Works from the Qantas Collection, which included the work Untitled 20011022, 2001 by Tim Maguire. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 62,400.00 (€ 38,368.60). Admittedly, works by Tim Maguire have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled 1997 in November 2003 with an auction result of AUD 329,000.00 (€ 198,469.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2007 führte Sothebys in Sydney die Auktion Important Australian Art Including Works from the Qantas Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled 20011022, 2001 von Tim Maguire zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 62.400,00 (€ 38.368,60) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tim Maguire auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled 1997 im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 329.000,00 (€ 198.469,70).
