A top price for Tim Johnson - as previously expected
The work Australian Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri by Tim Johnson was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2009. The price achieved of AUD 14,400.00 (€ 8,466.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Australian Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri is the most expensive artwork by Tim Johnson that we have observed at auctions so far.
