Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Tim Johnson was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in April 2001. The price achieved of AUD 3,055.00 (€ 1,754.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 2,500.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tim Johnson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri in August 2009 with an auction result of AUD 14,400.00 (€ 8,466.04).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tim Johnson kam im April 2001 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 3.055,00 (€ 1.754,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 2.500,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tim Johnson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri im August 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 14.400,00 (€ 8.466,04).
