Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Parallel Landscape by Tim Johnson was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in April 2001. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 7,050.00 (€ 4,048.55). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tim Johnson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri, which sold at auction in August 2009 for AUD 14,400.00 (€ 8,466.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Parallel Landscape von Tim Johnson kam im April 2001 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 7.050,00 (€ 4.048,55) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Tim Johnson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri beobachtet, die im August 2009 für AUD 14.400,00 (€ 8.466,04) versteigert wurde.
