Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2003 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Landscape with Buddhas by Tim Johnson. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 8,225.00 (€ 4,552.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Tim Johnson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2009 the work Australian Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri was auctioned for AUD 14,400.00 (€ 8,466.04).

Im Mai 2003 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape with Buddhas von Tim Johnson zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 8.225,00 (€ 4.552,90) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Tim Johnson konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im August 2009 die Arbeit Australian Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri für AUD 14.400,00 (€ 8.466,04) versteigert.
