Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work S.A.K Comp. 1, 2004 by Tim Hawkinson for USD 637.50 (€ 544.03). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tim Hawkinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work H.M.S.O in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 68,500.00 (€ 50,918.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit S.A.K Comp. 1, 2004 von Tim Hawkinson für USD 637,50 (€ 544,03) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tim Hawkinson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit H.M.S.O im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.500,00 (€ 50.918,01).
