This work of art by Tim Hawkinson could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California auction, the work Belt with Aneurysms, 1991 changed hands for USD 1,275.00 (€ 1,088.07) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tim Hawkinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work H.M.S.O in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 68,500.00 (€ 50,918.01).
