Sold at the lower estimate price
In January 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work Portrait Of A Boy In Blue by Tilly Kettle. The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,152.69) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tilly Kettle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Umdat-ul-Umara and Amir-ul-Umara, the two sons of Nawab Muhammad Ali Khan of Arcot and the Carnatic, three-quarter-length, wearing embroidered costumes, plumed turbans and jewellery. in September 2000 with an auction result of GBP 124,750.00 (€ 208,744.85).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Umdat-ul-Umara and Amir-ul-Umara, the two sons of Nawab Muhammad Ali Khan of Arcot and the Carnatic, three-quarter-length, wearing embroidered costumes, plumed turbans and jewellery. im September 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 124.750,00 (€ 208.744,85).
