Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November last year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Figur (Studie) by Thomas Scheibitz. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,970.00 (€ 11,595.47), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Scheibitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Douglas in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 307,200.00 (€ 253,068.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figur (Studie) von Thomas Scheibitz zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.970,00 (€ 11.595,47) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Scheibitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Douglas im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 307.200,00 (€ 253.068,62).
