This artwork by Thomas Nozkowski achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2021. In the First Open auction, the work without title sold for USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,112.41) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Nozkowski have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (8-64) in May this year with an auction result of USD 48,260.00 (€ 45,297.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Thomas Nozkowski erzielte im März 2021 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.112,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Nozkowski auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (8-64) im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 48.260,00 (€ 45.297,54).
