Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work A busy street, Florence, with the Palazzo Vecchio beyond by Thomas Matthews Rooke. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 812.50 (€ 917.57), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Matthews Rooke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Clytie Turning Towards The Sun in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 45,600.00 (€ 67,676.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit A busy street, Florence, with the Palazzo Vecchio beyond von Thomas Matthews Rooke zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 812,50 (€ 917,57) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Matthews Rooke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Clytie Turning Towards The Sun im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.600,00 (€ 67.676,11).
