Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2002 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work A beagle by Thomas Ivester Lloyd. The price achieved of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,655.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Ivester Lloyd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Going To The Meet; The Meet; Setting Off; At The Covert; On The Scent; Moving Off; Tally Ho!; Over The Fence; Clearing The Gate; Closing In; The Kill; Returning Home. in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,711.45).
