The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,824.57) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Hirschhorn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstrait Relief No. 548 (Nietzche) in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 125,503.48).

Die Arbeit Nail and Wire (Front Page IV Saddam) von Thomas Hirschhorn wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.824,57) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Hirschhorn erzielen.
