In February 2013 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art (Day Auction), which included the work Spiegel (Mirror) by Thomas Helbig. The auction ended at the price of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,742.34), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Helbig achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Seeräuber-Jenny. Um 1991/92. in June 2015 with an auction result of CHF 23,300.00 (€ 22,349.53).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Februar 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art (Day Auction) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spiegel (Mirror) von Thomas Helbig zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.742,34) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Helbig erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Seeräuber-Jenny. Um 1991/92. im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 23.300,00 (€ 22.349,53).
