This artwork by Thomas Canto achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in April 2016. In the New Now auction, the work White Vortex sold for GBP 22,500.00 (€ 28,761.69) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Thomas Canto; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Triangle Burst sold at auction in February 2016 with the realized price of USD 43,750.00 (€ 40,255.80).

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Thomas Canto; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Triangle Burst im Februar 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 40.255,80).
