Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Chantoir by Thierry De Cordier was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2019. The result of EUR 25,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thierry De Cordier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tempête En Mer Du Nord, Étude No. 3 in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 380,750.00 (€ 434,129.53).

Die Arbeit Chantoir von Thierry De Cordier wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 25.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thierry De Cordier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tempête En Mer Du Nord, Étude No. 3 im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 380.750,00 (€ 434.129,53).
