In October 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Evening Auction, which included the work Tempête En Mer Du Nord, Étude No. 3 by Thierry De Cordier. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 350,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 380,750.00 (€ 434,129.53). With this result, Tempête En Mer Du Nord, Étude No. 3 is even the most expensive work of art by Thierry De Cordier that we have observed at auctions so far.
