Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Young Girl with Dog by Theodore Robinson. The price achieved of USD 86,500.00 (€ 65,189.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Theodore Robinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Normandy Garden, October in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,496,000.00 (€ 1,112,019.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2010 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Young Girl with Dog von Theodore Robinson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 65.189,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Theodore Robinson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Normandy Garden, October im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.496.000,00 (€ 1.112.019,62).
