Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Théo van Sluys could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the House Sale auction, the work Sheep resting in a pasture changed hands for USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,142.84) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Théo van Sluys achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sheep and Chickens in a Farm Interior in April 2005 with an auction result of USD 18,000.00 (€ 13,932.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Théo van Sluys konnte im September 2007 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion House Sale wechselte die Arbeit Sheep resting in a pasture für USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.142,84) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Théo van Sluys erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sheep and Chickens in a Farm Interior im April 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.000,00 (€ 13.932,97).
