Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Théo van Sluys could be acquired at Christies in New York in April 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Sheep And Roosters In A Pasture changed hands for USD 14,400.00 (€ 11,406.84) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Other works by Théo van Sluys have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2005 by the work Sheep and Chickens in a Farm Interior at USD 18,000.00 (€ 13,932.97).
