Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2019 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Teng-Hiok Chiu for HKD 32,500.00 (€ 3,769.40). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Afternoon Session at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 50,000.00 – 100,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Teng-Hiok Chiu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 40,593.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2019 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Teng-Hiok Chiu für HKD 32.500,00 (€ 3.769,40) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Afternoon Session bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Teng-Hiok Chiu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 40.593,52).
