The work Tiger Tiger Exploding Bright by Tiger Tateishi was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in March last year. It achieved a price of EUR 27,720.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39 %. Admittedly, works by Tiger Tateishi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Moon-Sea-Brain - Sea of Seven Happiness in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 1,927,500.00 (€ 168,498.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Tiger Tiger Exploding Bright von Tiger Tateishi kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 27.720,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tiger Tateishi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Moon-Sea-Brain - Sea of Seven Happiness im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.927.500,00 (€ 168.498,77).
