Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tang Zhigang could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art – Day Sale auction, the work Children In Meeting Series changed hands for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 41,273.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 500,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tang Zhigang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Children In Meeting (3 Long Tables) in October 2008 with an auction result of EUR 6,020,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tang Zhigang konnte im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art – Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Children In Meeting Series für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 41.273,18) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 500.000,00 – 600.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tang Zhigang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Children In Meeting (3 Long Tables) im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.020.000,00.
