Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Children In Meeting Series by Tang Zhigang was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. The price achieved of HKD 937,500.00 (€ 96,518.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 800,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tang Zhigang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Children In Meeting (3 Long Tables) in October 2008 with an auction result of EUR 6,020,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Children In Meeting Series von Tang Zhigang wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 937.500,00 (€ 96.518,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 800.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tang Zhigang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Children In Meeting (3 Long Tables) im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.020.000,00.
