A top price for Tang Shishu - as previously expected
The work Autumnal Flowers by Tang Shishu was sold in the Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy from the Yong Li Studio auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. The price achieved of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,745.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Autumnal Flowers is the most expensive artwork by Tang Shishu that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Autumnal Flowers von Tang Shishu wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy from the Yong Li Studio bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.745,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Autumnal Flowers das teuerste Kunstwerk von Tang Shishu, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
