Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flowers by Tang Shishu was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Christies in New York in March 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,500.00 (€ 7,010.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Tang Shishu have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2016 the work Autumnal Flowers was auctioned for HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,745.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Flowers von Tang Shishu wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 7.010,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Tang Shishu konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2016 die Arbeit Autumnal Flowers für HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.745,72) versteigert.
