Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Roses by Tang Shishu. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,749.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tang Shishu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumnal Flowers, which sold at auction in April 2016 for HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,745.72).
