Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Flowers by Tang Shishu was worth HKD 53,100.00 (€ 5,466.80) to a buyer in October 2014. This price was achieved in the auction Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy at POLY in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Tang Shishu; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Autumnal Flowers sold at auction in April 2016 with the realized price of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,745.72).

Die Arbeit Flowers von Tang Shishu war einem Käufer im Oktober 2014 HKD 53.100,00 (€ 5.466,80) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Tang Shishu; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Autumnal Flowers im April 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.745,72).
