This artwork by Tang Haiwen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. In the A Special Selection of Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Homage To Turner, The Appeased Storm sold for HKD 687,500.00 (€ 65,182.64) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 360,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tang Haiwen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L'Aube, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 1,720,000.00 (€ 159,971.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 91 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tang Haiwen erzielte im November 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion A Special Selection of Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Homage To Turner, The Appeased Storm für HKD 687.500,00 (€ 65.182,64) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 360.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tang Haiwen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L'Aube beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 1.720.000,00 (€ 159.971,16) versteigert wurde.
