Sold at the upper estimate price
In May 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included this untitled work by Tang Haiwen. The auction ended at the price of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 23,116.30), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tang Haiwen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L'Aube in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,720,000.00 (€ 159,971.16).
