In May 2014 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Unknown by Tang Haiwen. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,004.03), 72% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tang Haiwen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'Aube in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,720,000.00 (€ 159,971.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 72 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Unknown von Tang Haiwen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 13.004,03) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tang Haiwen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'Aube im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.720.000,00 (€ 159.971,16).
