A top price for Tang Haiwen - as previously expected
In April 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work L'Aube by Tang Haiwen. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,720,000.00 (€ 159,971.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, L'Aube is the most expensive artwork by Tang Haiwen that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'Aube von Tang Haiwen zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.500.000,00 – 2.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.720.000,00 (€ 159.971,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist L'Aube das teuerste Kunstwerk von Tang Haiwen, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
