Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tang Haiwen could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Untitled (Composition) changed hands for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,892.46) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 140,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tang Haiwen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'Aube in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,720,000.00 (€ 159,971.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tang Haiwen konnte im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Composition) für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.892,46) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 140.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tang Haiwen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'Aube im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.720.000,00 (€ 159.971,16).
