Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Penang Street Hawkers by Tan Choh Tee was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. The price achieved of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 12,667.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 90,000.00 – 150,000.00. Other works by Tan Choh Tee have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2018 the work Fruits Stall was auctioned for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 15,827.40).
