In October 2020 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Evening at an Eating Stall by Tan Choh Tee. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 138,125.00 (€ 15,298.47), 73% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Tan Choh Tee; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Fruits Stall sold at auction in April 2018 with the realized price of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 15,827.40).

Im Oktober 2020 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Evening at an Eating Stall von Tan Choh Tee zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 138.125,00 (€ 15.298,47) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Tan Choh Tee; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Fruits Stall im April 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 15.827,40).
