Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Bird Cages by Tan Choh Tee. The price achieved of HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,371.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Other works by Tan Choh Tee have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2018 the work Fruits Stall was auctioned for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 15,827.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bird Cages von Tan Choh Tee zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.371,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Tan Choh Tee konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2018 die Arbeit Fruits Stall für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 15.827,40) versteigert.
