Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Breeze by Tan Choh Tee was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,729.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tan Choh Tee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fruits Stall , which sold at auction in April 2018 for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 15,827.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Breeze von Tan Choh Tee wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.729,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Tan Choh Tee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fruits Stall beobachtet, die im April 2018 für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 15.827,40) versteigert wurde.
