Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art – Day Sale, which included the work Balinese Procession by Tan Choh Tee. It changed hands for a price of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 9,630.41) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 90,000.00. Other works by Tan Choh Tee have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2018 the work Fruits Stall was auctioned for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 15,827.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art – Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Balinese Procession von Tan Choh Tee zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 9.630,41) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 90.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Tan Choh Tee konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2018 die Arbeit Fruits Stall für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 15.827,40) versteigert.
