The work Ko by Yamaguchi Takeo was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in November 2018. It achieved a price of HKD 1,750,000.00 (€ 197,518.33), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46%. Admittedly, works by Yamaguchi Takeo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ho (Crawl) in May last year with an auction result of HKD 12,450,000.00 (€ 1,478,082.19).

Die Arbeit Ko von Yamaguchi Takeo wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.750.000,00 (€ 197.518,33) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yamaguchi Takeo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ho (Crawl) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.450.000,00 (€ 1.478.082,19).
