Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Cosmos by Tai Xiangzhou was sold in the Contemporary Ink Art : Journey auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The price achieved of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 22,064.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tai Xiangzhou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mountains and Streams in May 2017 with an auction result of 240 200,000.00 (€ 177,999.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Cosmos von Tai Xiangzhou wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Contemporary Ink Art : Journey bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 22.064,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tai Xiangzhou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mountains and Streams im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von 240 200.000,00 (€ 177.999,29).
