Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink, which included the work Scholar's Rock by Tai Xiangzhou. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 37,587.41). Admittedly, works by Tai Xiangzhou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mountains and Streams in May 2017 with an auction result of 240 200,000.00 (€ 177,999.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink durch, in der auch die Arbeit Scholar's Rock von Tai Xiangzhou zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 37.587,41) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tai Xiangzhou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mountains and Streams im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von 240 200.000,00 (€ 177.999,29).
