Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ps1 Outside Courtyard Project Plan by Tadashi Kawamata was sold in the Contemporary Art | Paris auction at Sothebys in Paris in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,032.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tadashi Kawamata achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tree Huts Plan in June 2015 with an auction result of EUR 43,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ps1 Outside Courtyard Project Plan von Tadashi Kawamata wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art | Paris bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.032,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tadashi Kawamata erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tree Huts Plan im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 43.750,00.
